Ernestine Faux – Artist Extraordinaire Talks to Us Through Her Colours: A Life Seen Through Colours, Expressed in Colour - 20 Years in the Making
Perth, Australia, October 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- There were times when Ernestine Faux created art that was inspired by her many travels, in particular to Asia, by the people she met and most of all the light and colour she experienced in the different places or through people.
20 years later she touches people’s soul with what many see as a unique way of expressing herself. By talking to us through her colours she takes the viewer on a journey of self-discovery, even an emotional rollercoaster ride.
She once said she became an artist because there was no alternative….20 years later she has all the reason to look back at her achievements and her works are now being compared to Mark Rothko, Barnett Newman, Jules Olitski or Yves Klein’s Fire Paintings.
Art itself has no borders and her work can be found with collectors across the world and in many public places offering access to the broader public.
The Viewer can indulge in his own thoughts and world by looking from the outside in, making the painting his very own - free of fantasy.
Abstract Expressionism in the form of Colour field paintings have been widely recognized since the 1950s and emerged as a result to devise a modern, mythic art. Seeking to connect with the primordial emotions locked in ancient myths, rather than the symbols themselves, they sought a new style that would do away with any suggestion of illustration.
Her work is by many considered the starting point to a journey deep inside; works for meditation and contemplation. The depth of her colours and resonance always finds a way to the viewer.
Some might even feel the Sound of Colours so very much reflected in her works during the middle stage of her career.
The classic abstract art form for which she was known during her early career does not reflect the world but rather images that transport one into a make-believe world that is created through colour giving the mind the freedom to be expand.
Her installations of Tetrahedrons transform open spaces into magical worlds of colour changing the space we live and walk constantly.
