Shine the Light on Domestic Violence Event
DVAM - domestic violence awareness month- is upon us and events are happening across the country to give recognition to victims of domestic violence and the families it impacts. Love Shouldnt Hurt.TV will be hosting an event at Howdy's Concert Venue Friday October 10th from 5-10pm.
Williamsville, NY, October 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Love Shouldnt Hurt.TV will be hosting a New York "Shine the light on domestic violence" event at Howdy's concert venue, 8166 Main Street in Williamsville NY October 10th from 5-10pm.
There will be a $5 donation at the door, Plinko game for prizes and items being raffled off to benefit Love Shouldn't Hurt, a nonprofit organization providing prevention, education, awareness, mentoring, seminars and referral services for men and women impacted by domestic violence.
Live music from Reloaded, David Michael Miller and Midnight Soul will fill the night with rock and blues.
In addition, attendees are being asked to drop off their old cell phones for the 'Hopeline' effort by Verizon wireless, who in turn provides free cell phones to victims of domestic violence.
Finally an item drive is also going on to benefit Child and Family Services, who offers shelter services and mental and behavioral health services for victims and for families.
