Gulfport, MS, October 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Elliott Homes LLC issues the “2015 Nice Bucket Challenge.”
Elliott Homes has been chosen to build the 2015 St. Jude Dream Home in their exclusive development, Malpass West, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Volunteers are still needed for various stages throughout the build leading the Elliott Homes team to issue the “2015 Nice Bucket Challenge.”
“We are scheduling events at the dream home as construction progresses to thank our volunteers,” Adrienne Elliott explains. “While we know donating time to such a worthy charity event is something to be proud of, we want our volunteers to know how much Elliott Homes appreciates their generous and unselfish contribution.”
Childhood cancer is something that no family should ever have to face. St. Jude Children’s Hospital has made tremendous strides in the fight. “The hospital is remarkable,” says Brandon Elliott. “Each time I go there I am amazed at the strength and courage that these children have. We can all learn from them.” No one is turned away no matter what their income or insurance status is. St. Jude counts on donations to further their research, help children survive and to take away the financial burden from parents.
The “2015 Nice Bucket Challenge” begins on Saturday, October 18th with “Framing Day.” Volunteers are asked to come with a hammer and their “nice bucket” that we can fill with nails to help frame the home. Fun, food and refreshments will be provided and it all starts off with a parade.
The entire Elliott Homes team believes in this cause so much that they would also like to challenge businesses along the Coast. For every employee that volunteers, Elliott Homes will make place a small donation in their “nice bucket” and, on their behalf, present the donation to the hospital. Each participating business will also receive a Certificate of Appreciation to display their commitment to the fight against childhood cancer. “We think this will turn into a fun competition between businesses to see who can get the most people to come out and volunteer,” says Andrea West, Elliott Homes Office Manager.
