Attorney Christine Mayhew to Address Current Wage and Hour Issues Facing Construction Industry.

Mayhew’s program will cover, “Timing is Everything: Current Wage and Hour Issues Facing the Construction Industry.”

-A business owner’s personal liability when making incorrect wage determinations, such as overtime or minimum wage, under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA);
-Pitfalls in categorizing an employee as exempt or nonexempt;
-General contractors’ liability for its subcontractors’ misclassification of workers under the Davis-Bacon Act; and
-Misclassification of employees as independent contractors.
