Pocono Modern Launch 2nd Kickstarter Campaign for New Retro Deck Playing Cards; Kickstarter Backers Begin Pledging Support
Pocono Modern announce new Kickstarter campaign for sleek Mid-Century Modern Playing Cards - The Retro Deck.

Inspired by the simplicity and elegance of timeless Mid Century Modern design, the Retro Deck will appeal to collectors and design enthusiasts alike. Bold yet minimalistic design elements run throughout the deck in retro colors of warm gray, burnt orange, black and white.
The Retro Deck will be offered in two varieties: The first being a colored background deck and the second being a white background deck.
As a follow up to the recent Kickstarter success in April for their Woodland Deck which featured whimsical woodland animals of the Pocono Mountains region, the brand has built upon the positive response of their 500+ unique backers to create another amazing deck of playing cards.
Once funded, the Retro Deck will be produced by the US Playing Card Company who previously worked on the Woodland Deck currently being featured in Lonny Magazine, The Die Line, Print Magazine, Not Cot.org and many more.
“We started with the framework of each suit and then built the deck from there. Our goal was to stay true to the highest standards of card enthusiasts while satisfying our need to create unique works of art. The style of the cards fits somewhere in between the sleek sophistication of Mad Men and the warmth and familiarity of The Brady Bunch,” says Pocono Modern founder, Kraig Kalashian.
“This is our second deck of cards through Kickstarter and we’re already off to a great start! We hope to get it funded so that we can continue building our catalog of American made products.”
Founded in 2007, Pocono Modern originally started out building modern homes in the Poconos but then began designing smaller goods in 2010. The company currently designs and produces furniture, artwork, accessories, and other home goods. (www.poconomodern.com)
