New website helps busy families in Cambridge get out and about to enjoy all the city as to offer.
Cambridge, United Kingdom, October 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- A new website is up and running to help Cambridge families spend more quality time together. Family Guide to Cambridge www.familyguideto.co.uk has a wealth of useful information for families with comprehensive listings of local events, things to do, groups, classes & activities, as well as recommendations for family friendly places to eat & drink, ideas for day trips, free activities and rainy day activities.
The site was launched by two friends, Anna and Louise, who wanted to provide an easy to use site to help Cambridge families to find fun things to do. Anna, a long time Cambridge resident and mum of 2, says “When my first daughter was born I found myself combing the web looking for mum and baby activities, groups and classes, not to mention searching all the posters dotted around Cambridge. There was a real reliance on word of mouth which is hard when you’re a new mum or a family that is new to the area. We often missed events simply because I didn’t know about them. “
Co-founder Louise said, “We wanted to create an online resource that was easy to use & where busy parents can find everything they need to know in a couple of clicks. We’ve had a really positive response from parents – because we know family life is busy enough without having to go searching around the web or local notice boards when you could be out & about enjoying the huge amount of great family activities Cambridge has to offer. ”
Family Guide To Cambridge was launched in August and has been building a loyal following with a growing number of social media followers and subscribers to their monthly newsletter.
