Demibooks Launches Integration with Britannica School
Demibooks launches integration with Britannica School content in upcoming release of Demibooks Composer Pro, a professional book and game app authoring platform.
Chicago, IL, October 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Demibooks announces access to images and videos from Britannica School in the upcoming release of Demibooks® Composer Pro. Announcing the integration with Britannica, company co-founder and CEO Rafiq Ahmed also reported last Friday’s record 25,000 school downloads of the free version of Demibooks® Composer.
According to Ahmed, those who have integrated Composer into their curriculum have become advocates for the tool. The free version is expected to continue to draw new users to the first iPad-based platform for authoring and publishing interactive book and game apps. "Educators will naturally want to upgrade to the full version of Composer, but now they will have even greater incentive," he said.
The upcoming update to Demibooks Composer Pro is expected in November. It offers schools that subscribe to Britannica School the ability to use that content in the apps they create using Composer Pro. Schools without an existing subscription will have the opportunity to sign up for a free 30 day trial of Britannica School in Composer Pro. All schools that join the Demibooks School Program are considered eligible to be selected for the new benefit.
“This partnership between the two companies makes bringing stories (and curriculum) to life even easier, and extends initiatives such as the Hour of Code year-round,” says Doug van Poppel, Advisor to Demibooks.
With access to thousands of pictures and videos from Britannica, students and teachers can focus their energy on storytelling and teaching concepts. Younger students who are nervous about their first project or teachers pressed for time can get started using a database of curated images and videos.
