Ernie does not mentor and serve his real estate peers and clients for awards he does it because it is who he is. Ernie won this award for selfless service to everyone he comes in contact with. "Ernie Gonzales is a perfect candidate for cultural icon he exemplifies the word culture in all he does for the market center. He steps up to help anyone who passes through our doors. He has also been the driving force volunteering his own time to help build and design our new state of the art office. The help he gives is not limited to just real estate. He helps everyone with technology, Teaching E-Edge weekly, helping with compliance for Dot Loop, serving on the ALC, setting up agent’s computers and cell phones, building office furniture, to even the small stuff of carrying heavy boxes or taking out the trash for our DOFI. Several times he has even stepped up to help an associate by paying for dues, food or going to a class when they were short money. All of this is done with no expectations he just has a caring nature. This candidate is always the first to step up for anyone who is in need of help and all associates go to him first when they have questions because they know he will never turn them away, even if he doesn’t know the answer he will do everything to find it out for them. Every time we have a member of our Market Center sick or in the hospital he always goes to visit and hold their hand. He is the first to get the market center to send flowers and take care of associates in need. Everyone trusts him and loves him so much that they know when they need good advice he is where they turn. Outside the market center this candidate exemplifies the KW Culture in all that he does. Not only would he give someone the shirt off of his back he makes sure that all people are ok. Many times we see him on the side of the road helping a complete stranger with their tire or battery. He volunteers for the Citizens Police Academy for Homeland Security taking part in many simulations to help in case of a state of emergency. He has been a board member for the National Association of Hispanic Realtors and Asian Real Estate Association of America helping Harry Reid to pass the law in the State of Nevada to give home owners 30 days to write an offer before an investor securing home ownership. He has served on the local Board of Realtors Grievance committee and Professional Standards Committee for several years. He has raised two wonderful children one of which is a step son who regards him as his own father because he has been such a positive male role model in his life," says Lori Kauper, Keller Williams Realty Southern Nevada office manager.
