Vidyo Selected by IndusInd Bank for First “Face-to-Face” Online Banking in India
Hackensack, NJ, March 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Vidyo, Inc., an innovator in visual communications, has been selected by IndusInd Bank, one of the fastest growing new-generation private sector banks in India for Video Branch, a mobile and desktop-based banking service being deployed across the country. Video Branch, launched on June 2, 2014, has accumulated a user rating of 4.3 on scale of 5 on the Google Play Store.
“IndusInd Bank is committed to responsive innovation to create customers convenience and offering the most advanced services to our growing customer base,” said Romesh Sobti, Managing Director and CEO of IndusInd Bank. “Our Video Branch ‘face-to-face’ online banking customer service, powered by Vidyo, is the next frontier of banking and brings our branch managers and centralized banking services closer to our customers with highly personal interaction. VidyoWorksTM is the only solution that could deliver on the promise of high quality connectivity from any location, on any device over any network and we are pleased to offer this very high-quality, easy to use service to our customers.”
“Banking evolved from brick and mortar to online banking, but innovative banks like IndusInd understand that visual communications are important in customer relationships to deliver convenience, flexibility, and value in today’s ‘always on’ world of connected devices, and without it, some customer loyalty may be impacted,” said Ofer Shapiro CEO and co-founder of Vidyo, Inc. “IndusInd Bank is transforming banking in India and is a great example of what is possible today and we look forward to supporting their efforts to bring Vidyo-based face-to-face interactions to all aspects of their banking vision.”
Video Branch is a free service offered exclusively to all IndusInd Bank customers that enables a face-to-face video conversation with a branch manager, relationship manager or with a centralized Video Branch executive. Easy and convenient to use, Video Branch service offers a wide range of information and transactions that cater to all banking services currently offered through IndusInd phone banking. In addition, bank customers can also conduct financial transactions like opening a Fixed Deposit or Recurring Deposit, transferring funds through NEFT RTGS and many more. Video Branch is currently available for Android (2.3 and higher) and Apple mobile devices (iOS 6,7, and higher) in the respective App Stores.
The VidyoWorks platform and APIs allow developers and solution providers across a wide variety of markets and applications to address the rapidly growing demand to integrate video communications into online banking, healthcare, government, enterprise and customer contact center applications. Workflow and business processes, new devices, appliances and form factors all leverage VidyoWorks to integrate HD quality video in highly scalable, affordable deployments over the Internet or wireless networks.
