Xitron Names Dan MacKillop Manager of Technical Support
13-year Xitron Veteran Assumes New Role
Ann Arbor, MI, October 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Xitron, the leading independent developer of RIP and workflow products for commercial, digital, flexo, and label printing has announced that Dan MacKillop has taken on the role of Technical Support Manager, effective immediately. He will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the support department, as well as product testing, and OEM service, reporting to Eric Nelsen, VP of Product Development.
A graphic artist and former flexo prepress manager, Dan began his career at Xitron in 2001 as a technical support specialist. “Dan’s hands-on expertise in helping customers was a primary factor in his selection for this important position,” said Nelsen. “It’s imperative that we instill trust and accountability with our customers and channel representatives to further our reputation as a world class provider of RIP and workflow software.”
MacKillop’s appointment follows other recent personnel changes at Xitron, including the addition of a marketing coordinator, flexographic specialist, and order fulfillment coordinator. “Growth in new markets such as high-speed inkjet, packaging, and label printing is spurring the need for increased resources within our company,” said Karen Crews, president of Xitron. “We have to maintain a high level of responsiveness whether we’re adding fifty new end users through our dealer channels or one hundred through our OEM Partners. It will be Dan’s responsibility to make that happen.”
