Lamido Philippines Sponsors Blackout Party for Charity
For the first time, Lamido Philippines is sponsoring Blackout Colorphonic Explosion, an event organized by UP ACES, a non-stock, non-profit organization duly recognized at the UP Diliman College of Engineering. Proceeds of the event will benefit Good Food Community, a foundation that extends a helping hand for a growing sustainable society with focus on farmers and how to nourish the land.
Makati City, Philippines, October 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- This year’s Blackout will be held as a sem-ender on October 24, 2014 and in cooperation with other universities to gather more audience and to come up with a bigger fund for their selected beneficiary. Gates open at 9pm for the said event.
Blackout in Retrospect
For the past three years, UP ACES had been organizing Blackout, which is a sem-starter affair for students to de-stress before the dreaded start of the semester. Proceeds for Blackout 2013 were able to benefit a few charities and/or foundations including Camp Pag-ibig, House of Refuge Foundation, Inc. and Reception and Study Center for Children. As part of the campaign, beneficiaries are usually selected every year to extend help to organizations with charitable purposes.
