Prescott, AZ, October 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Solvay Chaired Professor of Technological Innovation at INSEAD Dr. Yves Doz, Tetra Pak Marketing Global Director Gisele Gurgel, and Livestock Biosecurity Network National Manager Warren Clark join World Strategy Week panel, The State of Strategy Today.
Harvard educated Dr. Doz has done extensive research on the strategy and organization of multinational companies resulting in numerous articles and several books. His latest book, Managing Global Innovation, co-authored with Keeley Wilson, was published in 2012 by Harvard Business Review Press.
Dr. Doz has taught at the Harvard Business School, Stanford's Graduate School of Business, Seoul National University and Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. His fieldwork research in global companies provides examples of how strategic agility and leadership behaviors can rekindle growth.
Ms. Gurgel focuses her efforts on developing solutions and opportunities that target low income emerging consumers, which her company calls Deeper in the Pyramid (DiP). Her work in 2012 on global strategies and trends for dairy products targeting this consumer base led to the DiP project which she now leads worldwide.
A member of the Global BoP Group which focuses on helping create sustainable business at the base of the economic pyramid, Gurgel is applying her talents and experience to increase economic opportunities for the world's poorest people and communities. The goal is to stimulate new enterprises that are economically competitive, environmentally sustainable, and culturally appropriate.
Warren Clark has more than 20 years’ experience in the meat and livestock sector where he is building an alignment with the cattle and sheep industries. The company is working to establish safe and effective biosecurity networks with farmers, farming organizations and state government agencies to strengthen Australia's animal health and welfare.
According to Meat & Livestock Australia, the country is "among the world's largest and most successful and efficient producers of commercial livestock and a leader in the export of red meat and livestock. It is also a world leader in the export of commercial livestock." Thus an effective biosecurity strategy is critical to the country's economy, as well as the health of other countries which import their livestock and red meat.
Dr. Doz, Ms. Gurgel, and Mr. Clark bring interesting perspectives to the State of Strategy Today panel, which also features Dr. Lorraine Lear, a leading business strategist from South Africa. See the interview with Dr. Lear for her perspectives on leadership and strategy.
