Fear City Chicago Haunted House Producers Thank All Involved with Season 4
Now that the Fourth Season of Fear City has wrapped, the Producers of Fear City Chicago and Cursed haunted houses wanted to thank all those who helped to make 2014 a memorable year.
Morton Grove, IL, November 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- With its Fourth Season wrapped and Halloween just a memory, the Producers of Fear City Chicago expressed their sincere thanks to all those who helped make their 2014 Season so memorable.
They first and foremost mentioned were all those who came to see one or both of the two haunted houses (Fear City & Cursed) during the season's 19 show days which ran from October 3 to November 1, 2014. "We hoped everyone who walked through our doors got a really good scare, or at least were entertained by our production," stated Fear City owner, Chuck Grendys.
He went on to add that "without the actors and those who supported them in set building, make-up, costume, props, lighting, sound, special effects, security, concessions and administration along with our family, friends, volunteers and helpers of all sorts; the show would not have been possible."
Also helping to make the year one to remember were all the sponsors who stepped up to support the D219 Education Foundation which received a donation from all Fear City ticket sales and sponsorship to help in their efforts to benefit kids in need in the disrict. Those companies were Kappy's American Grill, Green Signs Chicago, Fantasy Costume, Fear City Tactical Arena, Father & Son Italian Kitchen, MIR Tactical, Superdawg, AutoMatchUSA, Jet's Pizza, Randolph Market, Culver's Morton Grove, KISS-FM, Relief Medical, Planet Fitness, First Bank of Evanston-Skokie, Tony S. Kalogerakos & Associates, Evanston Subaru, Nothing Bundt Cakes, North Shore Bank & Trust, Michael Lorge-Skokie Corporate Counsel, Zurko Promotions, Morton Grove Coin & Collectibles and Super Cup of Morton Grove.
New this year to the Fear City ensemble was the band "V is For Villains" who played live every Friday and Saturday evening; with their DJ "Mr. Agitator" working the house all the other nights. Special events that helped make 2014 special were designated days for the Boy Scouts of America, The Dance Marathon at Niles High Schools, Scream! which raised funds for AIDS Foundation of Chicago and an expansion of the special "12 and under age appropriate" show called Trick or Treat Fest along with Battle Royale which provided laser tag inside Fear City on non show days; all of which were popular additions to the 2014 Season.
The media mentions and stories were a big part of helping to let the people know about the haunted houses and included a number of haunt websites, social media, news blogs, print media and appearances or reviews on Windy City Live, CBS Channel 2 News with Vince Geraslo, WCIU's You & Me In the Morning and WGN Radio just to name a few. Our adverting companies went above and beyond just selling us airtime and ad space too, stated Grendys who went on to add that being featured on NBC's popular "Steve Harvey Show" was great.
Morton Grove's village government at all levels helped to make Fear City possible. Both Morton Grove and Skokie Chambers of Commerce helped to keep it visible to the eyes of the local business community. The D219 Education Foundation and their Board helped in a number of ways to promote the season to the kids at Niles North and Niles West during the entire year. A special Morton Grove moment was on Devil's Night, October 30 when "Bubbles Erotica," a local band comprised of Morton Grove musicians who all went to Niles West High School, performed at Fear City.
Halloween and Fear City & Cursed are now history for 2014, but planning for a new season will begin again soon for Halloween 2015!
