Tending the Living Image: A Dream Tending: A Workshop by Steven Aizenstat, Ph.D.
Phoenix, AZ, October 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The general public is invited to join the Phoenix Friends of C.G. Jung from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 8th at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Phoenix, AZ (Graces Room). In the Saturday morning talk, Dr. Stephen Aizenstat invites you into the world of Dream Tending. Dr. Aizenstat has developed Dream Tending methods that feature a process of discovery in which dreamers become "naturalists" of the psyche, observing the activity of the images in the unfolding dreamscape. In tending the dream, dreamers experience the particularity of the images as they become increasingly visible, distinct, and present.
During the Saturday afternoon experiential workshop, Dr. Aizenstat will demonstrate Dream Tending in work with the dreams of participants. He will offer tools and techniques to assist participants in working with dreams, and guide them in group practice of Dream Tending.
Stephen Aizenstat, PhD, is the Chancellor and Founding President of Pacifica Graduate Institute. He is a professor of depth psychology with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and a credentialed public schools teacher and counselor. Dr. Aizenstat has provided organizational consulting to companies and agencies and teaches extensively worldwide. Dr. Aizenstat has explored the power of dreams through depth psychology and his own research for more than 35 years. His Dream Tending methodologies extend traditional dream work to the vision of an animated world where the living images in dream are experienced as embodied and originating in the psyche of Nature as well as that of persons. His work opens creativity and the generative process. His book, Dream Tending, describes multiple new applications of dreamwork in relation to health and healing, nightmares, the World's Dream, relationships, and the creative process.
