Laboratory Testing Inc. Hires Experienced Inside Sales Employee
Laboratory Testing Inc. welcomes Glen Hicks as a new Inside Sales employee. In his role, Glen will supply nondestructive testing, materials testing and calibration customers with fast, friendly service while handling inquiries, providing quotations and expediting orders.
Hatfield, PA, October 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Thirty-year-old materials testing and calibration lab, Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI), announces the hiring of Glen Hicks of Garnet Valley, PA as a new member of the Inside Sales team. The Inside Sales positions were added to the Customer Service/Sales Department at Laboratory Testing Inc. in 2014 to support the outside sales function and ensure a high level of care and responsiveness to new customers. Hicks joins fellow Inside Sales employee Joe Farrell in responding to customer inquiries, providing quotations, and expediting and tracking orders for the wide variety of services offered by the company, including nondestructive testing, calibration, materials testing and failure analysis.
Glen attended Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania where he graduated with a B.A degree in Science. He has an extensive background in the metals industry, including sales to the commercial nuclear power generation and fossil fuel cogeneration markets. Prior to joining LTI, Glen was employed by MRC Global, Inc. as a Sales Representative, where he was responsible for selling pipe, valve and fitting products to large maintenance, repair and operations accounts. Additionally, he has worked in similar positions for U.S Metals, Inc. and Tioga Pipe Supply Co., Inc.
A few years ago, Laboratory Testing Inc. began a company-wide program to improve customer service and order turnaround. Many changes have been made throughout the company, including the addition of more employees in sales and customers service roles. “Ensuring that we respond quickly to inquiries and get testing and calibration results to our customers in a timely manner has been driving many of the changes,” said Brad McVaugh, Customer Service Supervisor.
