London, United Kingdom, October 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Reach7 today used the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in London to announce they have secured a second seed funding round to continue the development and promotion of their social media platform which aims to make it easier for companies or individuals to expand their social reach on a global scale.
The company’s first tool within the platform was released to the public last month and allows for posting to social media in over 30 languages via business level human translation in a few simple steps. Other features include scheduling posts to different locations based on recommended times within the different time zones and automatically mirroring all posts from your primary account to several others in different languages.
The platform currently supports Twitter and Sina Weibo, China’s version of Twitter, however support for other social networks is coming soon. The company also offers account setup and business verification, similar to Twitter verified accounts, on Sina Weibo for customers and allows seamless simultaneous posting across both platforms.
The founders, Jamie Learmonth and Anton Ygartua, who initially funded the venture through a lump sum investment from their digital agency Boxlight Media, acknowledge that although language barriers and China are huge challenges for businesses expanding their reach globally, there are certainly many more hurdles and the new capital injection will be used to complete the development of new services currently in beta testing and promote them post launch in the coming months.
The latest funding round of £400,000 came from a group of investors led by Jamie True and including Jon Claydon and Jack Bekhor.
