Avionté Hires Mark Young as Chief Financial Officer
Minnesota staffing software company adds key employee to Management Team.
Eagan, MN, October 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Mark H. Young, J.D., MBA, was recently hired as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Avionté, a staffing software solutions provider out of Eagan, Minn. Young will serve as a key member of Avionté’s Executive Management Team and will be responsible for overseeing Avionté’s Finance Team, and for managing all of the company’s financial operations.
Avionté’s CEO John Long partnered with Versique, a Minneapolis-based executive search and consulting firm, to recruit for their first-ever CFO position, and hired Young in mid-September.

At Avionte, Young will oversee all accounting, billing and collections, expense management, financial planning and analysis, treasury, regulatory compliance, tax and legal processes. He will also be responsible for the managing the company’s relationships with current and future technology partners, and will work across departments at Avionté to implement activities that drive value.
Avionté hired Mark Young approximately nine months after the company joined forces with Serent Capital, a growth equity firm based in San Francisco. In addition to his financial responsibilities at Avionté, he will work closely with Serent Capital’s Board of Directors and will be responsible for tracking Avionté’s annual planning and reporting cycle, producing all requested Board materials, and ensuring Avionté meets all expectations and requirements.
Before joining the team at Avionté, Young held the role of General Counsel and Chairman of the Board at MentorMate, LLC, a privately owned web and mobile application development services company based in Minneapolis. He also spent four years at Blue Rock Advisors as their Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel and nearly 12 years at Personnel Decisions International Corporation (PDI), where he helped the company grow from $30M to $200M before selling PDI to Korn Ferry in 2012.
Mark’s background includes over four years working as a practicing attorney and nearly 20 years working in a financial role. Mark holds a B.A. in Accounting from St. John’s University, a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
