Pain Management & Hydrotherapy Pool Now Available in Texarkana

Texarkana, TX, October 26, 2014 --(PR.com)-- On Monday, HealthCARE Express in Texarkana officially welcomed Mohammed Khan, M.D. (“Dr. Mo”), to their staff. Specializing in interventional pain management, Dr. Mo is able to provide treatments to patients suffering from pain that has only been available in bigger cities like Dallas.

Dr. Mo has moved to Texarkana from Washington State, where he served as the medical director for Pinnacle Pain Center. He grew up in Dallas and completed his Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Administrative Chief Resident.

Dr. Mo is double board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management. He received his doctorate of medicine from Texas Tech University, where he also received several awards. His special interests in medicine include electrodiagnostic medicine, interventional pain management as well as multimodal treatments for acute and chronic pain conditions.

The new pain management facility, located at 3515 Richmond Road in Texarkana, has multiple services housed under one roof. MRI, Cat Scan (CT), and physical therapy are all now also available at the facility, which has been designed to make ease and access to care more convenient for patients.

HealthCARE Express has also added physical therapist Ben Smith to their team. Prior to joining HealthCARE Express, Ben worked for 3 years at HealthSouth Outpatient treating adult orthopedic and neurological patients. Two years ago he opened a pediatric physical therapy clinic in Texarkana to help treat children with delays and disabilities.

“With the addition of physical therapy, we have also added an aquatic therapy, conditioning and hydrotherapy rehab pool to our new facility. There is no other medical facility in town that offers this option. Aquatic therapy in our rehab pool allows patients to improve mobility, strength, stability, and cardiovascular conditioning in a decreased weight bearing environment, which typically allows for quicker progression with less pain,” said Ben Smith.
