Upcoming FISD Women’s Group Luncheons Expand from London and New York to Include Hong Kong & Sydney
FISD Women’s Group to Feature Head of Specialist Sales Asia at Thomson Reuters & CEO of SIRCA Technology
Washington, DC, October 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Financial Information Services Division (FISD) of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the global neutral forum for the financial information industry, today announced the expansion of the FISD Women’s Group event series from London and New York to include Hong Kong and Sydney. The FISD Women's Group offers women in the market data industry the opportunity to network, discuss challenges and share advice.
FISD announced the next FISD Women’s Luncheon will be held November 3, 2014 in Hong Kong hosted by Thompson Reuters. The keynote speaker is Kimberley Cole, Head of Specialist Sales Asia at Thomson Reuters. Cole is a dynamic leader with a strong financial markets background and a wealth of international experience gained from a range of sales, marketing, and business management roles. Cole’s career has taken her around the globe from Melbourne to London along with time in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney. Passionate about Women in Leadership, Cole was co-founder of Women in Finance Asia, Hong Kong, and is actively involved in Women on Boards among other networks. In 2013 Cole was named one of Cranfield's 100 Women to Watch.
A subsequent AsiaPac FISD Women’s Luncheon will be held November 10, 2014 in Sydney hosted by Thompson Reuters. The keynote speaker is Ian Oppermann, CEO of SIRCA Technology. SIRCA Tech, a knowledge infrastructure company supports financial market research and analytics for over 600 customers globally and works across the university, business and government sectors. Oppermann has over 20 years’ experience in the ICT sector having held senior management roles in Europe and Australia as Director for Radio Access Performance at Nokia, Global Head of Sales Partnering (OSS) at Nokia Siemens Networks, and recently Divisional Chief and then Flagship Director at CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation).
The third FISD Women’s group event will be held in December 3, 2014 in London hosted by Interactive Data. This late afternoon gathering and reception will feature a negotiations workshop given by Natalie Reynolds, Founder and Managing Director of advantageSPRING. Reynolds was recently described by the Guardian newspaper as a "leading expert in effective negotiation" and contributes negotiation articles to the Huffington Post and Forbes. Reynolds and the advantageSPRING team work with a range of global companies to develop internal negotiation capability through coaching and training, and to design and execute negotiation strategies, often generating huge savings, increased revenue, or efficiencies for her clients.
The final FISD Women’s group event in the series will be held January 21, 2015 in New York City, hosted by Goldman Sachs. This afternoon gathering and reception will feature a magnetic leadership workshop given by Lauren Fritsch, Founder and CEO of The Coaching Collective, a boutique management consulting firm. The Coaching Collective provides change management, strategy, sales team trainings, talent engagement, culture and process innovation to clients in diverse industries. Her work has been spotlighted by ABC, Social Media Weeks NYC + DC, South By Southwest, the INC 5000, Let's Talk Live, Design*Sponge, and Katie Couric.
