Prior to his tenure on American Idol, Jacob was featured in numerous plays across the country and worked with late West Coast Hip-Hop pioneer Nate Dogg who is heralded for his collaborations with Dr. Dre, Tupac and Snoop Dogg. Over the past year, Jacob has performed with Empress of Soul Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, and gospel star Kirk Franklin. But it’s not just performers who recognize his gifts. Jacob has proudly recorded with super-producers Tricky Stewart, R. Kelly, Rodney Jerkins, Ray Chew, Harvey Mason Jr. and the legendary Don Was. Currently working with R.
