Dallas, TX, October 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The HRSouthwest Conference (“HRSWC”) recognized Alice Dendinger, SPHR, as its 2014 inductee into the HRSWC Speaker Hall of Fame at the opening general session of the 73rd annual event, held Oct. 5 – 8 in Fort Worth, Texas. The program was established in 2013 to honor speakers who exhibit professionalism and speaking excellence, and who continually contribute to The Conference to further the profession of human resources. Inductees are evaluated by their peers and each candidate must excel in content, delivery, professionalism and communication. Dendinger joins last year’s inaugural winner, Michael Mirarchi in this distinguished honor.
Dendinger, who possesses more than 30 years of experience in the field of human resource management and organizational development, received her first position in HR in 1980, as she says, “by divine intervention.” During her career, Dendinger has focused on strategic management, organizational development, employee relations and communication, mediation and conflict resolution, performance management and assisting leaders, managers, supervisors and direct reports at every level to work better together. She is often called upon to “transform the organizational culture.”
In October 2002, Alice assisted HRSWC in launching the first HRCI Certification Crash Course, which began her speaking affiliation with The Conference, providing study materials and resources to HR professionals hoping to earn their PHR and SPHR certifications. Since then, Dendinger has established a reputation as one of The Conference’s most popular speakers, consistently receiving exceptionally high ratings from attendees. She has continued to take part in the Crash Course program in addition to conducting pre-conference workshops and concurrent educational sessions.
Since 1995, Dendinger has been an active volunteer with Texas SHRM, comprised of 18,000 members, 34 affiliate Society for Human Resource Management (“SHRM”) chapters and 32 student SHRM chapters throughout the state. She served as state director of the organization in 2007 and 2008. She is also a past president of the Austin Human Resource Management Association. Dendinger has been invited to participate as a luncheon speaker or keynote at almost all 30+ chapters in Texas and is considered one of the most active members on the SHRM Speakers Bureau.
For the past 12 years, Dendinger has led the Alice Dendinger Alliance Group, providing HR consulting, coaching and mediation services. In addition, she recently launched PivotU – Advance the Talent, a training, learning and transformation company providing focused and facilitated solutions to the professional development of a business’ employees, supervisors, managers and leaders.
