Leadership St. Pete and Chamber of Commerce Present Community Orientation Program, FOCUS St. Pete

St Petersburg, FL, October 31, 2014 --(PR.com)-- St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce® and the Leadership St. Pete Alumni Association will hold FOCUS St. Pete on November 5, 7 & 8, 2014. FOCUS St. Pete is a community-orientation program for professionals who are eager to establish civic relationships and learn more about the inner workings of the community with a minimum expenditure of time.

The program examines the history of the St. Petersburg area, issues and challenges of the present and future, the leadership of the community and the opportunity for community involvement. The objectives of the FOCUS St. Pete program, which is offered in a 13-hour platform, are to broaden the participants’ working knowledge of the community; formal and informal decision-making; the issues and challenges facing the city; and provide direction for participants to become engaged in community affairs.

Professionals (and their spouses/partners) from both the private and public sectors may apply. Class space is limited to 35 participants. The cost is $300 per participant and $100 for a spouse/partner. The fee includes all meals and tours.
