Stimulsoft Reports Becomes Faster and More Intuitive

Among the most significant changes and improvements one should highlight optimization speed of rendering the report components, some optimization of component editors etc.
The developers of the company increased the speed of rendering the component Cross-tab by an average of 20-30%. They also optimized rendering time of charts with a large number of data and made processing of RichText components significantly faster.
To simplify the use of components, some of its properties have been removed from the Properties panel. Now they are available in the component editors. For example, the component Data band has no properties in the category Data. Only one remained - Data Source. This property invokes the editor which contains all other properties. As a result, the use of the component properties became much easier.
The new version of the reporting component StiMobileDesigner now has 18 themes. New themes make the designer for the Web more colorful and convenient. They also fulfill a practical function. Now the user does not need to adjust the appearance of his website to the report designer or vice versa. It is enough, to choose the theme, which looks similar to the appearance of the web-application.
One of the most important changes in the new version was a completely new chart editor in the report designer for ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC (version HTML5). Its basic feature is the immediate previewing of all changes made during editing. Stimulsoft developers did their best to structure editor and make it intuitive. The structure contains a component category, dropdown lists, and other features which greatly simplify and speed up the process of creating charts.
"The new version of Stimulsoft Reports 2014.2 - this is more than a machine for working with reports," says Andrew Savin, commercial director Stimulsoft. - We have conducted some research on the psychological perception of the software interface visual design. In the new version, we chose the color of forms, reworked them so that the user´s eyes found everything in its place. I think we´ve managed this."
