TourPal Raised $500k in Funding Round & Are Now Offering Everything in Their App for Free
TourPal LTD, creators of the TourPal Travel Guide app, raised $500k in funding round and are now offering all the audio tours, maps and local businesses recommendations in their app for free.
Los Angeles, CA, November 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- TourPal LTD, creators of the TourPal Travel Guide app, have closed half a million dollars in funding from a private investor. The funding will be used to further develop TourPal’s iPhone and Android apps as well as for large scale marketing and advertising budgets for the apps. This follows the previous funding rounds where TourPal raised over 1 million dollars from private investors.
Additionally, TourPal has recently launched a new IOS version with a complete new design and interface. This version focuses on giving the user easier access to all the audio guides, maps and local businesses info. The new version also includes some new functionality such as the ability to get directions to the points of interest (using Google/Apple Maps’ “Turn by Turn” feature) and saving points of interests in a “Favorites” menu for future use. The Android version with the new design and functionality will be released soon.
To celebrate these events TourPal are now giving everything in their app, including the audio tours, for free. TourPal’s audio tours were created by professional tour guides and are available in up to 8 languages. In addition to the audio tours, TourPal will continue to offer the online and offline maps and local businesses info for free, as always.
