The Chicago Bach Ensemble Under Ruben Dubrovsky November 6th, 7th and 8th

Maestro Dubrovsky is an internationally renowned baroque and early music period specialist. As the founder and conductor of the Bach Consort Wien (Vienna), Maestro Dubrovsky and the Bach Consort Wien have performed in the Brucknerhaus in Linz, Palau de la Musica in Barcelona, Haendel Festival at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Lisinsky Hall Zagreb, Festival RheinVokal, Festival Fur Alte Musik St Polten, Donau Festival and many more.

Chicago, IL, November 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Chicago Bach Ensemble is the recipient of a grant by The MacArthur Funds for Arts and Culture at the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation. Conceived in 2012, the Ensemble has already performed four cycles of J.S.Bach cantatas and wiwww.chicagobachensemble.org will be presenting its Fifth Cycle in early November 2014.

Cycle Five represents a break into historical period performance with the use of authentic baroque instruments and baroque tuning at 415Hz. These performances will feature a chamber orchestra and eight singers in some of Bach’s wonderful string cantatas. Additionally, the Ensemble orchestra will perform two Concerti Grossi by G.F. Handel.

The Ensemble welcomes the internationally renowned Italian-Argentinian conductor Ruben Dubrovsky, who is in much demand in the concert houses and operas of Europe. Under the leadership of Maestro Dubrovsky, the Chicago Bach Ensemble intends to not only confirm its place as an anchor group within the Chicago area but also to build itself into a baroque ensemble of highest quality. These upcoming concerts promise a wonderful baroque music experience for Chicago listeners.
