ISA Assists International Business Website
Scottsdale, AZ, November 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The International School of Arizona (ISA) has agreed to provide free language-translation services to a new website connecting businesses in Arizona to those in Canada and Mexico.
The website, Building an International Economic Network (BIEN) www.connectbien.com, is run by Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) and supported by other civic and governmental organizations. Launched on October 21, the BIEN website is free and, thanks to ISA, available in English, Spanish and French. Through the website, Mexican and Canadian businesses seeking commercial opportunities in Arizona can connect with partners here and vice versa.
ISA Director of Curriculum Veronique Bevali provided the French translations. She was attracted by the project’s organization philosophies. “MAG, through BIEN, is sharing the same philosophy as ISA: We both want to put Arizona on the map as a place of international exchanges,” said Bevali. “While BIEN is working on developing business exchanges for the present, the International School of Arizona is preparing students to become bilingual global citizens for the future.”
ISA’s association with MAG has helped the school’s top staff connect with mayors and business leaders throughout the region. ISA Admissions and Development Coordinator Sharon Brown sees the school’s collaboration with MAG as an opportunity to showcase the school’s strength in multilingual education. “BIEN is adding ISA to their regional database of schools,” said Brown. “We are a resource for many international families who might come to Arizona and want to put their students in an international school.”
BIEN’s name translates as “well” or “right” in both French and Spanish. In addition to MAG, BIEN’s backers include the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, the Canada Arizona Business Council and the Arizona-Mexico Commission.
