Local Charity Spices Up Holiday Tradition

Guests at Black Tie Gala Serve as Jurors for Mystery Mock Trial.

St. Louis, MO, November 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- As the holidays approach and the community thinks about ways to give back, one charity is putting a unique spin on a traditional fundraising event. Jane Doe Advocacy Center, a legal service center for those impacted by sexual violence, will host an exclusive murder mystery mock trial dinner theatre where guests play the jury and decide the verdict at the end of the show. The event proves to be uniquely entertaining while spreading awareness of the complexities that arise in the criminal justice system, an issue routinely faced by Jane Doe’s clients.

The Justice Gala will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at The Bevo Mill. The event includes a four course dinner theatre, door prize, and silent auction. The event is sponsored by First Impressions Catering at The Bevo Mill, who is providing a unique menu and layout specifically for the event.

The theatre is sponsored by two members of the St. Louis business community. Vicky Shrum, Independent Insurance Agent with Crawford Butz, will play the defendant who is on trial for the fictitious murder of Brian McGraw, Financial Associate with Thrivent Financial. Table sponsors include Joan Shamel with Automotive Concepts and Michael Caples with Country Financial.

A limited number of tickets for couples, small groups, and large groups are available online. For more information visit www.JaneDoeAdvocacy.org and click on “Justice Gala.”
