About the Author

Jim Stricklan is an acclaimed performing songwriter and radio personality. Stricklan moved to Denver in 1971 and began singing in the local coffee houses-including Global Village, Sweet Loretta's, and the Denver Folklore Center. In the 80s he played at Colorado clubs and concert halls-including Ebbetts Field, the Buckhorn Exchange, and the Paramount Theater-before returning to Texas in 1987. Stricklan's radio career in Denver featured stints at KBPI-FM, KIMN, KERE, and KBRQ. In 1985 he was inducted into the Colorado Country Music Foundation's Hall of Fame. In recent years Stricklan has worked at such legendary radio stations as KWKH in Shreveport, KLOL-FM in Houston and KVET-FM in Austin. He has written hundreds of songs and released seventeen albums to date. Music Mountain is his first novel. The author lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Leslie and their two calico cats.
