Community Realty Management President Elected Vice President of NAHMA
Michael B. Simmons, CPM®, NAHP-e®, President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Realty Management, has been elected Vice President of the Board of Directors for the National Affordable Housing Management Association.

Simmons, CPM®, NAHP-e®, President and Chief Executive Officer of CRM, has been elected Vice President of the Board of Directors for the National Affordable Housing Management Association™ (NAHMA).
NAHMA is the leading voice for affordable housing, advocating on behalf of multifamily property managers and owners whose mission is to provide quality affordable housing. Founded in 1990 and based in Alexandria, Virginia, NAHMA's membership today includes the industry's most distinguished multifamily managers, owners, and industry stakeholders. NAHMA serves as a vital resource for technical education and information, fosters strategic relations between government and industry, and recognizes those who exemplify the best in affordable housing.
“I am honored to be elected Vice President for NAHMA,” said Simmons. “I’ve been a long-time member of NAHMA, and I look forward to continuing to serve this distinguished organization in my new role for the next two years.”
Simmons, who began his property management career more than forty years ago, chairs the CRM Executive Committee and serves on the Atlantic City and County Board of Realtors, and is a member of the Federal Housing Advisory Board for the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Mr. Simmons is a Member Emeritus of the IREM National Faculty and has served as National President of the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1999, as well as President of the IREM Foundation in 2004 and 2005. He is also a licensed real estate broker in New Jersey, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.
Additionally, he has served as an editorial consultant for IREM on numerous occasions, including for the publication titled “Government Assisted Housing: Strategies for Site Managers,” a textbook published by the Institute. Within the local community, he currently serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors of Gilda’s Club South Jersey, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community.
