Chinese Community Church of South Bay Hosts Operation Christmas Child in the Torrance Area
The Children’s Program and the Youth Group program of the Chinese Community Church of South Bay supported its annual Operation Christmas Child event to deliver shoe boxes filled with gifts of love to children all around the world.
Torrance, CA, November 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Chinese Community Church of South Bay (CCCSB), located in Torrance area of Los Angeles County, hosted Operation Christmas Child, an annual community service project sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, on Friday November 14, 2014. Supported mainly by the Children’s Program and the Youth Group program of the Chinese Community Church of South Bay, young people gathered to pack shoe boxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies to tangibly demonstrate God’s love to a child in need. Over 100 people attended, generating 50+ shoe boxes at this event. Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has delivered shoebox gifts packed by caring people to more than 113 million children around the world.
