Chicago Tribune Names Pangea Properties as a Workplace Achiever
Chicago Tribune Releases Annual List.
Chicago, IL, November 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Pangea Properties, a Private Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) based in Chicago, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of The Chicago Tribune Workplaces as a Workplace Achiever for the second year in a row.
The Top Workplaces are based solely on employee feedback. The employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducted regional Top Workplaces programs with 40 major publishing partners across the Untied States. Over the past year, more than 5,000 organizations and 1 in every 88 employees in the U.S. have turned to WorkplaceDynamics to better understand what’s on the minds of their employees. Through its workplace improvement offerings, WorkplaceDynamics provides solutions, training and tools to help clients improve their workplace.
The majority of the properties Pangea renovates and refurbishes are located in working-class neighborhoods, including South Shore, Chicago Lawn and Sauk Village, to name a few. CEO Steve Joung notes that many people who live in these areas are then able to obtain local job opportunities such as janitorial, maintenance, property management and leasing agent positions.
“As our company grows, we are looking to add more job positions but rather than outsource, we employ local residents,” says Joung. “As we continue creating jobs in the next few years to increase stability and a sense of goodwill in the community, we are also working to ensure our employees are engaged and happy.”
The Chicago Tribune published the complete list of Top Workplaces on November 14th. For more information about the Top Workplaces lists and WorkplaceDynamics, please visit www.topworkplaces.com and www.workplacedynamics.com.
