Shannon Dean, Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Vero Beach High School Has Been Appointed as Director of Florida Crush Lacrosse. Current Director Jason Bishara Steps Down.

Coral Springs, FL, November 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- “I am ecstatic to have Shannon join the Florida Crush team and accept the Director’s position for the club. I could not ask for a better replacement than to have one of the most respected women’s lacrosse coaches join our already astounding, well known, and respected coaching team,” said Bishara.

“Shannon Dean’s high school program put South Florida girls lacrosse on the map. His coaching and leadership paved the way for the growth of lacrosse in our region. He is known and respected nationally in girls lacrosse and I’m happy to be working with him as our sport continues to grow and excel,” said Eileen Pliske Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach and assistant Athletic Director at Pine Crest High School.

Coach Shannon Dean’s accolades include being the Head Coach at Vero Beach High School from 2003 to present. With a career record of 247-25, Coach Dean’s Fighting Indians have won 9 straight Florida State Championships from 2006-2014. 30 All-American’s, 6 Honorable Mention All-American’s and 66 Academic All-American’s have all played for Coach Dean while at Vero Beach High School.

In 2014 Coach Dean was named the Head Coach for the UnderArmour South Region and was chosen by U.S. Lacrosse to be a “selector” at the tryouts for the U-19 Team USA which was held in Baltimore, Md this past summer.

The talent coming out of this area is amazing and I cannot wait to see the future of this program. I am excited to work with the players, coaches and parents from Florida Crush,” said Coach Dean.
