KNI’s “Laundry With Class” Line Debuts on Indiegogo to Provide Scholarships to Students
KNI is creating college scholarships. Every laundry bag purchase, helps send a student to college.
Atlanta, GA, November 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- A new Indiegogo project has launched that aims to change student’s lives through purchases of laundry bags from the BELIEVE campaign. Laverne Ward founder of KNI stated, “we believe that everyone in this world has a purpose.”
KNI’s (Kitchen Needs Inc.) mission is to provide its first product line of dorm products. When it comes to dorm room organization, the more dorm supplies you have the better! That might sound a bit ironic, but it’s true. The laundry bags will help keep the college dorm rooms organized. It’s laundry with class.
Indiegogo backers can purchase the small laundry bags for $20, as an early bird special and then for $25. The large laundry bags for $35, as an early bird special and later for $45. The Team plans to ship the early bird products in February 2015 and the rest of the products in March 2015. The Indiegogo goal is $25,000, which will cover the production costs of the laundry bags, funding of the scholarships and to expand the product line.
KNI decided that their initial goal is to fund the first three scholarship recipients reared in single parent households. Children of single parents are much more likely to experience childhood poverty, become teenage parents, and drop out of school. Statistics reports that it can be very difficult for children of single parents to rise up out of poverty: 58% children raised in the poorest third of income levels who lived with two parents rose up, while only 44% of children of single parents were able to.
