St Petersburg, FL, November 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Liberty Baptist Church and Liberty Christian School delivered 575 gift-filled shoe boxes to Operation Christmas Child. Church volunteers filled the boxes with toys, school supplies and hygiene items to create gifts that can make a significant difference in the lives of children all around the world. These children live in severe poverty and for many, these shoe boxes will be the first gift they have ever received.

“It’s a great opportunity for our church family to come together in a tangible way to make a difference in children’s lives,” said Ralph Wilson Jr., Junior Varsity Pastor at Liberty and event organizer.

This marks the third year that Liberty Baptist has partnered with Operation Christmas Child, which is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief organization providing aid to the victims of war, natural disasters, disease, famine and poverty. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to more than 113 million children in over 150 countries and is the world’s largest Christmas Project. These boxes also include a booklet that provides the opportunity to learn about God’s love. This simple act of delivering a Christmas gift to children in need, can change the life of a child and represents a core belief of Liberty Baptist to reach out in service to minister to those in need.
