LexisNexis organizes "Justice V R Krishna Iyer’s Birth Centenary Lecture" on "Human Dignity: Fulcrum of Human Rights" at the Indian Society of International Law to celebrate 100th birth anniversary of the legendary Justice VR Krishna Iyer.

Hon’ble Mr. Justice A K Sikri, Judge, Supreme Court of India who was the Chief Guest of the function delivered the Centenary lecture in honour and celebration of Justice Krishna Iyer’s phenomenal and legendary contributions to the Indian Judicial system and jurisprudence particularly in the area of human rights and social justice. Eminent Scholar and Professor MP Singh, Chancellor, Central University of Haryana presided over the function with other distinguished personalities like Mr. PP Rao, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Mr. Salman Khurshid, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Former Minister of Law and Justice, Government of India as the guests of honour. The commemorative event witnessed the presence of many other eminent jurists, scholars, advocates, faculty and students including Mr. Soli Sorabjee, Sr. Advocate, Supreme Court, Prof. Manoj Sinha, Director Indian Law Institute, Mr. Sudhanshu Ranjan, Sr. Journalist, Doordarshan to name a few.
On this occasion, Hon’ble Mr. Justice AK Sikri also released a monograph titled ‘Justice V R Krishna Iyer: Campaigning Human Rights and Social Justice’ published by LexisNexis and edited by Dr. Lokendra Malik, Advocate, Supreme Court of India. The book is a collection of articles contributed by eminent legal luminaries in honor of Justice Krishna Iyer celebrating his widely acknowledged and appreciated contributions as a lawyer, politician, judge and a great human being dedicated to the welfare of mankind. The monograph was distributed to all the attendees free by LexisNexis and will also be made available as an ebook through their website soon.
