Bestway Tours Debuts "The Persian Gardens & The Treasures of Iran" Tour; 15-Day Escorted Iran Tour Led by Noted Garden Expert Jill Cherry
Vancouver, Canada, November 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Walk through ancient palaces and lush gardens built for Persian kings, and discover mysterious Iran on Bestway Tours & Safari’s “The Persian Gardens & The Treasures of Iran” Tour. Guests can gain insight into Iran’s incredible history of more than 2500 years, as they explore breathtaking palaces, archaeological sites, gardens, mosques and museums.
The fully escorted tour will be led by garden expert, Jill Cherry. A landscape architect and garden historian, Cherry has directed the gardens of the Royal Horticultural Society in the UK, and the VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver, Canada.
“Iran is so awe-inspiring,” said Cherry. “The grand scale of the architecture and the detail and artistry of the decorative arts are wonderful, and the historic gardens are an intrinsic part of the whole experience. The splendid pavilions, palaces and gardens were conceived as one,” added Cherry. “Perhaps it is the juxtaposition of high culture in a desert land that is so striking. For visitors, the incredible wealth of Persian history unfolds before your eyes, layer by layer.”
Cherry expects that art and history lovers and garden enthusiasts will enjoy the tour to this very friendly nation.
“It is one of the friendliest countries I have ever visited,” said Cherry. “Even when traveling alone in Iran, I often have received smiles and impromptu conversation from locals, and people are usually quite kind. As a foreigner in Iran, I have always felt safe and never been hassled.”
