Enterprising Women Magazine Wins 2014 Stevie Award
Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration Receives Recognition in Event of the Year Category.
Raleigh, NC, November 26, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Enterprising Women magazine, the nation’s only woman-owned magazine published exclusively for women business owners, has announced that the publication has won a 2014 Stevie Award for Women in Business in the category of Event of the Year. The Event of the Year award recognizes outstanding performances in event planning among women-owned businesses. Enterprising Women won for hosting the Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration, an annual event honoring women who lead fast-growing businesses, mentor and support other women and girls, and are recognized as leaders at the local, state, national or global levels. It is considered one of the most prestigious awards for outstanding women entrepreneurs.
The annual awards event also brings together members of the Enterprising Women Advisory Board and other thought leaders on global women’s entrepreneurship for two days of workshops, the annual Hall of Fame luncheon and gala awards dinner. The 13th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration and Conference is slated for March 29-31, 2015 at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs and the companies they run. The awards are one of four Stevie Awards programs, which have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards. More than 1,200 entries were submitted this year for consideration in 85 categories, including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur, Lifetime Achievement, and Communications Campaign of the Year.
Enterprising Women recognizes women making remarkable strides in various industries with its annual awards celebration. Last year’s honorees came from as far as China and South Africa for the recognition, with 17 international honorees from among the 70 winners.
The awards are categorized by annual sales revenues, with levels ranging from less than $1 million to more than $25 million. The top award winner in 2014 had achieved sales revenues of more than $760 million.
