KantanMT’s Tony O’Dowd Inspires Young Entrepreneurs from St. David’s CBS, Artane
Transition Year Students from St. David’s CBS, Artane find out what it takes to be an entrepreneur and market leader.
Dublin, Ireland, November 27, 2014 --(PR.com)-- KantanMT Founder and Chief Architect Tony O’Dowd presented to a group of Transition Year Students on what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur, and the importance of being first in the market.
The students from St. David’s CBS, Artane met with Michael Berry, M2C Founder and CEO and Tony O’Dowd KantanMT Founder and Chief Architect as part of a field trip to the INVENT building located in the Dublin City University Campus. The INVENT building is home to the Innovation and Enterprise Centre, which is dedicated to the promotion and commercialization of DCU innovations through licensing and start-up companies.
Tony’s presentation provided the students with an overview of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur and market leader. The presentation also included a team building challenge, where the students were tasked with building a tower that could support the weight of an apple using plastic cups.
What the Students Learned:
3 P’s for unlocking your team's potential
Be first into the market
Don’t over think things
Take Risks and never give up trying
“This was a great opportunity for the students to meet with, and learn from entrepreneurs in their local area,” says Shane Dalton, the students’ Teacher. “The boys were delighted with the presentation and will be talking about it for a long time.”
“The students from St. David’s CBS have a great energy and enthusiasm,” says Tony O’Dowd, Founder and Chief Architect at KantanMT.com. “It was clear from watching how some of the students tackled the tower challenge that there are budding entrepreneurs within the group.”
