About Carroll Congo, Ed.D
Dr. Congo is currently retired after spending 36 years in the education field. He served as the Chief Clinical Psychologist for the Ladd School at the State Institute of Rhode Island and as Chief Clinical Psychologist for the South Huntington School District in South Huntington, New York from 1970 to 1989. He also served as a therapist and community outreach program administrator at the Pederson-Krag Center which is a community mental health clinic in Florence, South Carolina. Dr. Congo is a Life Member of the A.P.A., a Fellow of the A.A.M.D. and a Fellow of the A.P.S. He was born on November 24, 1927 in New York, New York and obtained a B.S. from Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York, a M.A. in Psychology from Columbia University Teaching College in 1955 and an Ed.D. in Psychology from St. John’s University in 1980. In his spare time he enjoys tap dancing and Jazz music.
