Shop for Success Raises Record-Breaking Funds for Local Dress for Success Programs
Fort Myers, FL, December 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Dress for Success SW Florida is pleased to announce this year’s Shop for Success event raised a record-breaking $73,000 to help support Dress for Success SW Florida and its mission of promoting the economic independence of local disadvantaged women. The shopping extravaganza’s previous record of $55,000 was set in 2013.
The annual event took place Nov. 14 at the Crowne Plaza in Fort Myers and featured new and gently used clothing, shoes and accessories for purchase, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the following programs in Lee and Collier counties: Suits for Success, Going Places Network by Wal-Mart, Professional Women’s Group and the Entrepreneurial Spirit Program. The funds will also support client mentoring, the upgrade of the Career Center and the continued advancement of Dress for Success SW Florida in Naples and Collier County.

Across 135 affiliates worldwide, Dress for Success SW Florida remains a top performer in raising funds for women in need during Shop for Success, one of the organization’s biggest fundraising events of the year. A major portion of the clothes and accessories on sale at Shop for Success are new, thanks to gracious donations from White House Black Market and Chico’s. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Dress for Success SW Florida.
