Jake Reed Owner of the Frisco Thunder IFL Football Team Was Honored at This Years Boys and Girls Club of Collin County Lexus 2007 Chrysalis Ball, a Celebration of Heroes

NFL award-winning athlete Jake Reed, proud owner of the Frisco Thunder IFL Football Team was one of a number of Heroes honored at this year's Celebrity Red Carpet event Saturday night. Featured entertainment by the Pointer Sisters was a prelude to, a VIP Reception, Four Course Dinner, Open Bar, Casino, Luxury Live and Silent Auction.

Frisco, TX, November 09, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Jake Reed is a 12 year NFL veteran and NFL record holder who played as a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints is now the proud owner of the Frisco Thunder IFL Football Team. “We are committed to creating a better healthier community and we are excited to be a part of, and have the opportunity to support The Boys and Girls Club of Collin County,” said Jake Reed.

Jake and Vinita Reed celebrated the end of their first season as the only expansion team to end the regular season with a winning record and gain a birth into the post season playoffs. The lic to kick off the season March 1, 2008. The team will play their home games at the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Frisco. “We are very excited about this coming year,” said Jake Reed.

“We are looking forward to not only and offering a family sports venue here in Frisco but to helping sponsor other community charities and events as well.”

Jake and Vinita Reed have also recently joined TEAM United. TEAM stands for Training, Education, Advancement, and Mentoring. TEAM United is a coalition of athletes that have come together for children’s causes. The Reed’s are hosting a variety of exciting events during the 2008 season games that will support causes for underprivileged children and to focus on educating and reducing childhood obesity.
