Jim Dodson Law Celebrates Christmas with Bike Giveaway for Kids
Clearwater, FL, December 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Most children spend all year looking forward to the holidays, but not all of them. With employment being harder to find or keep for many, some parents simply cannot afford to get their children Christmas gifts. But, two, local bicycle-focused businesses want to give these children the Christmas present of their dreams.
On December 15, Clearwater bicycle accident attorney, Jim Dodson, and Clearwater bicycle shop, Chainwheel Drive, and will be awarding five, deserving children new bicycles for Christmas for their sixth annual Bikes for Kids program. The program provides children who would not have an opportunity to receive a bike with not only a new bike, but an unforgettable holiday experience. Five children will be visited by Santa Claus before receiving their custom-fitted bicycle. The kids will also receive a new bicycle safety helmet and have their helmets fitted by Jim Dodson Law’s certified helmet fitter, so the children can safely enjoy their new Christmas gift.
“Being a part of Bikes for Kids is very special to all of us at the bike shop,” said Chainwheel Drive’s co-owner, Dottie Jessup. “Bikes for Kids is the highlight of our Christmas season,” said Jessup.
“Every year, the children bring tears to our eyes to see their excitement about getting their first bike,” said attorney Jim Dodson. Dodson, an avid cyclist, knows the importance of a child having their own bicycle. “When a child has a bike, they have the opportunity to be healthier, happier and learn responsibility. Bicycles provide these children with a sense of freedom,” said Dodson. “All year we look forward to being a part of Bikes for Kids,” said Dodson.
Bikes for Kids will be celebrated at Chainwheel Drive’s Clearwater store on December 15 at 6 p.m. In addition to Dodson’s Bikes for Kids program, the cycling safety advocate provides cyclists with information to help prevent accidents. He is the author of the Florida Bicycle Accident Handbook, which explains cyclists’ rights on Florida roads and the steps to take following an accident.
