Laboratory Testing Inc. Successfully Completes NUPIC Audit
Laboratory Testing Inc. has successfully completed an audit conducted by NUPIC members to verify effective implementation of the Lab’s QA program. As a result, LTI was re-approved for the NUPIC Approved Suppliers List to provide material testing, nondestructive testing and calibration services for another thirty months.
Hatfield, PA, December 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) of Hatfield, PA (USA) has been re-approved as a supplier of Calibration, Nondestructive Testing and Material Testing Services, including mechanical, chemical and accelerated corrosion testing, for members of the Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee (NUPIC) after successfully completing a member audit. LTI has been in business since 1984 and was first approved to provide services to NUPIC members shortly after the Committee was formed in 1989.
The recent week-long audit was run by Exelon Generation Corp., and also involved members of Exelon Power Labs, Duke Power and Dominion Resources Services. The audit team concluded that Laboratory Testing is effectively implementing their Quality Assurance Program consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR 21. As a result, LTI will remain on the NUPIC Approved Suppliers List for another thirty months. The results of the latest audit will be made available to all interested NUPIC members.
The Laboratory Testing Inc. quality system is also in accordance with ASME NQA-1 for the nuclear industry. In addition, LTI has successfully completed audits and has been approved by Nuclear Industry Assessment Committee (NIAC) member Crane Nuclear and by numerous other companies in the power generation industry to perform materials testing, nondestructive testing and/or calibration services, including:
