Singapore to Host 2015 International Amateur Singing Competition Finals
Singapore, Singapore, December 13, 2014 --(PR.com)-- APIC–Asia Pacific Innovation Centre Pte Ltd won the bid to host the 13th Karaoke World Championships (KWC) on 20-22 November 2015 at Azzura Beach Club in Sentosa Island, Singapore where 40+ country champions converge to compete for the prestigious title of becoming Karaoke World Champion.
“Expect a great show and warm welcome in Singapore as we feature the best of our city-state and celebrate 50 years of independence,” said Mr Eric Cheong, Director of APIC – Asia Pacific Innovation Centre Pte Ltd. To consolidate resources for this huge project, KWC Asia Events Pte Ltd was formed to take the lead in organising the event, in partnership with Simply-Tech Ltd.
Karaoke World Championships is an international singing competition with over 40 countries participating in 2015. “Singapore and other Asian countries have produced great talent for the competition during the recent years. We are looking forward to a really entertaining show next year,” said Mr Jalo Kotinurmi from the Finland-based International KWC Organization. National trials are conducted in each country with the winners competing in the International finals for the titles of male and female Karaoke World Champions.
Singapore auditions start on 11 January 2015 at the Cuppage Plaza branch of exclusive venue partner Cash Studio Family KTV BOX. For registration details on how to join, visit www.kwcsg.com.
In November 2014, the World Final event was held in Stockholm, Sweden where Diana Villamonte from Panama and Anthony Montius Magee from USA won the Karaoke World Champion title for female and male, respectively. They will be invited to perform as guests in the world finals in Singapore, together with homegrown talents KWC top Asian male finalist Kamsani Jumahat and KWC Singapore female champion Zareen Angulla.
