Power Ranger Stars Join Forces with Crosby Church for a Phenomenal Charity Event in Houston, TX

Houston, TX, December 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Every December, the members of Crosby Care International hold a charity event for the underprivileged families in the Houston area. The church raises money in order to provide less fortunate families during the holiday season. Every year, the church and its volunteers take these less fortunate families to their local department stores to provide them with necessary clothing.

The Clothe-A-Child program was created to help school-aged children obtain brand-new clothes, shoes or even toys during the Christmas holidays. These less fortunate children and families do not have the capability to experience these joys without the help of the program. Throughout the year, the funds are collected through donations and an annual benefit golf tournament.

After a year of collecting donations, Crosby Care’s Clothe-A-Child program selects participants from a long list of applicants, based on their financial need. According to their site, crosbycare.com, “Particpants are from different walks in life, including: low-income families, families headed by seniors on fixed income raising grandchildren, and families who are experiencing temporary financial setbacks.” Once the participants are selected, there is a day where all of Clothe-A-Child charity members and volunteers, join together to take these families shopping.

This year’s shopping day will have two very special guests, known for their roles on the hit children’s show Mighty, Morphin Power Rangers, Houston’s own, Jason David Frank and fellow cast member, David Yost will be giving gifts, spending time with the families, and taking the participants shopping. Jason David Frank, who portrays Tommy Oliver, the show’s most legendary ranger, is an active member of Crosby Care’s many charity events.

Crosby Care’s International’s Clothe-A-Child Event will take place this coming Monday, December 15th, 2014 starting at 7:00pm at Walmart, located at 6626 Fm 1960 Rd, Humble, TX 77346 and again on Tuesday, December 16th, 2014 starting at 7:00pm at Walmart, located at 14215 Farm to Market 2100, Crosby, TX 77532. They ask that all volunteers and pre-approved recipients get there around 6:00pm to get signed in and in line. The line will be outside the locations and will be able to enter the stores at 7:00pm.
