Sexy New Show About "Hookup" App Users Now Online
Season one of Swipe Click Bang, a web series that examines the users of hookup apps and their one-night stands, is now available online.
Los Angeles, CA, December 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Award-winning writer/director Michael Sasso (Those with Class) and Emmy-nominated writer/producer Michael Vitale (Undeniable: the Rise of Dwyane Wade) have just released their highly topical new web series, Swipe Click Bang, online. The first season, which examines the users of hookup apps and their one-night stands, is available in its entirety on YouTube.
Featuring an ensemble cast that includes I Just Want my Pants Back’s Elisabeth Hower and The Secret Life of the American Teenager’s Bianca Collins, Swipe Click Bang is the first web series to explore the human side of online sex and casual encounters.
“An increasing number of 20 and 30-somethings are using apps like Tinder and Grindr to meet potential mates,” says Vitale. “We saw an exciting opportunity to explore what it’s like, emotionally, for these users when they go to bed with complete strangers.”
Each episode features a new a set of characters in a unique, stand-alone circumstance.
“In one episode, we can show a couple trying to get on the same-page sexually, yet in another, we can have a completely different pair dealing with the awkwardness of trying to end a bad date,” says Sasso. “The possibilities, both in comedy and drama, are endless.”
Co-creator, Joseph Amato, was excited to create a show specific to the millennial generation. “Online hookups are a unique phenomenon to this generation,” says Amato. “We hope viewers see a bit of themselves in each of the characters and situations.”
The series has already garnered acclaim from The Blot Magazine and Nerve.com, and has received four LA WebFest nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Ensemble Cast.
