Schmitt & Orlov Announces New Office in Laos
Asia IP specialist firm Schmitt & Orlov (S&O) announced its further growth in the ASEAN region with the opening of its Vientiane office in Laos.
Beijing, China, December 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Vientiane office is set to open in March 2015 and will be aimed at servicing the firm’s growing demand in the region focusing on the registration and enforcement of intellectual rights.
The office will be managed by S&O regional director Vanja Kovacevic and assisted by Xavier Baris and Ngoc Pham. Ms. Kovacevic is the firm’s South East Asia Director and already coordinates the firm’s offices in Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as operations throughout the region. Mr. Baris and Ms. Pham have specialized regional IP experience with both global and local brands. S&O have recently been confirmed as IP experts for the EU ASEAN SME help desk particularly focusing on Cambodian IP issues.
Commenting on the opening Ms. Kovacevic, said, “We have been facing a growing demand in the region for IP registration and enforcement work, the opening of the Vientiane office is a natural reflection of this demand and important part of our strategy for the Asean economic zone. S&O further plans to open an office in Myanmar by the end of 2015.
