Catster.com Presents Frank the Cat vs. The Elf on the Shelf
Follow the Tale of Catster’s Favorite Tabby as he Chronicles His Epic Battle Against an Unwanted Holiday Visitor Through Hilarious Diary Entries, Photos and Videos
Irvine, CA, December 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- There’s an epic battle raging this holiday season on Catster.com between the online magazine’s resident tabby and a favorite holiday tradition. The popular online cat magazine brings to life the journals of Frank the Cat as he discovers a newfound nemesis in the guise of a rosy-cheeked, shifty eye elf who sits on a shelf (or in the Christmas tree, liquor cabinet or anyplace out of Frank’s desperate reach).
Frank the Cat vs. The Elf on The Shelf begins innocently enough when Frank’s human family brings the elf into their home to “keep a close eye on all of us and report back to Santa on whether we’ve been naughty or nice.” Frank immediately determines that this ‘interloper’ is there to spy on him and report back to this Santa character on some of his own habits such as licking pans in the sink and cup-tipping. With this, Frank decides that The Elf must go. But The Elf has ideas of his own. And so the battle begins.
Catster.com takes viewers on a comical journey of Frank’s inter-conflict told through his own journal entries, as well as entertaining photos and video shorts. Written and developed by award-winning Catster.com humor columnist Angie Bailey, Frank the Cat vs. The Elf on The Shelf is an imaginative story as seen through the eyes of a charismatic cat with clever brevity, while redefining online storytelling.
“At Catster, we are always looking to spin yarns about cats and their human families in a unique and lighthearted way and Frank the Cat vs. The Elf on the Shelf does just that,” says Janine Kahn, Executive Editorial Director, Digital at I-5 Publishing. “Let's just say that after seeing the Elf from Frank’s vantage point, readers will never look at The Elf on the Shelf the same way again.”
The series appears exclusively on Catster.com with a Day One entry in Frank’s journal on December 19, 2014 and continues through December 24 when the climatic ending is revealed.
