Belt Corporation of America Announces DuraTaq ™ Compound

Cumming, GA, December 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Belt Corporation of America is pleased to announce the availability of its latest product offering, DuraTaq™ .

DuraTaq™ is a new rubber compound used to manufacture industrial belts. Colored bright orange, DuraTaq™ industrial belts are extremely durable and have a very high (or “excellent”) coefficient of friction, making them highly tactile.

Here are DuraTaq™ ’s pertinent specifications:
· Polymer: 100% natural rubber (polyisoprene)
· Color: Orange
· Hardness: 45+/- Shore-A
· Co-efficient of friction: Highly abrasion resistant (Taber H18, 500 Gram Wheel on each side) Wt. loss 0.05 grams after 5,000 cycles
· Sp. Gr.: 1.06
· Tensile: 3000 psi min.
· Elongation: 600% min.
· Tear: 220 lbs/in.
· Compression set: Very low
· Temperature resistance: -10 C to +105 C
· Chemical resistance: Organic acids, alcohols, ethylene glycol, water
· Note: Not recommended to come in contact with petroleum products

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has given the DuraTaq™ trademark the serial number 86229696. The description provided to the USPTO for DuraTaq™ is: “Rubber used as a protective covering to surfaces subjected to abrasive action.”
