NIS Proudly Celebrates All Holidays

Yaphank, NY, December 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The New Interdisciplinary School (NIS), a New York State approved provider of preschool special education, proudly celebrated Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa this holiday season. To celebrate Christmas, children and their families came to a Breakfast with Santa and enjoyed watching staff members parade through the halls dressed as elves and reindeer. Former Executive Director, Helen Wilder, visited the children to engage them in an interactive presentation on Kwanzaa, and Peter Raalf, Physical Therapy Coordinator, mesmerized the young students by making his “magic” oil last eight days for the Hanukkah Celebration. Students engaged in a variety of holiday sing-a-longs, some of which had lyrics written by NIS staff members. NIS welcomes students from all backgrounds in their Yaphank location and their new, state-of-the-art facility at the Patchogue Y.
